Choose the best content experience for your members.
Planning is Paramount
You know you’ve created some awesome blog posts, videos, services, products or course material for your members. You can’t wait to offer them on your membership website.
But wait a minute, how do you set it all up?
The good news is there are quite a few different options. The bad news is there are quite a few different options! It’s good to have choice but you also don’t want to get too complicated and end up confusing your clients.
As an example, let’s say you have a series of 6 course modules each containing 12 instructional videos and some companion material to go with them.
1. Content Membership Levels
The first thing you want to decide is whether you’re going to offer the entire series under one membership level. Do you want only Modules 1-2 to be available to your Bronze subscription members, the next 2 to your Silver group and then the rest is for the Gold group?Presumably you will be charging each of those member groups a different price for their membership.
2. Recurring Content
Will you be continually adding content to your modules? If that’s the case, you might want a monthly recurring membership. If you only have those 6 modules and don’t think you’ll be adding more, you might want to charge an upfront non-recurring membership fee to access the content.
3. Don’t Forget The Trimmings
That takes care of the core content. What about your companion material? You might be wanting to include digital products such as ebooks and worksheets. Your decision here is do you want these to be available online or as a digital download? Going a step further, would you want non-members to have an opportunity to “taste” your full program by purchasing an introductory ebook as a one-off?

4. Keep In Touch
One last point. You want to make sure you stay in touch with your community, right? Consider using an autoresponder program such as MailChimp (which SubHub integrates with seamlessly) to make sure you are communicating regularly with your members to inform them of new content. You can also install a sense of community by integrating forum software to allow your members to communicate with each other.
Decisions, decisions! It’s true that a little planning upfront can make the creation of a multi featured website a relatively simple (and fun!) task.
